They take control of their Stutter in front of Bellas Artes in Mexico City
One more course came to an end in Mexico City with 5 new students; a 31-year-old women with an overt stutter, a 14-year-old minor, the rest men; 2 overt and just one covert for this course.
For this course we had great support from graduates from Guatemala, Mexico City and Guanajuato. Thank you all for your support and for giving the best example, strength and work to the new students (NS)!
The moment of truth arrived, First Day videos. While making them, we could see the different personalities and types of stutter from each one of the NS; some extroverted and others more introverted.
There was an environment of excitement and a lot of expectations about what will happen in this intensive course, this one being the 41st intensive course in Latin America since 2015.
Since Thursday morning, both; NS and graduates who came back, put in a lot of effort and hard work, you could tell at the end of the day.
On Friday we had the Phone Calls Session, which was very emotional and prepared the NS for their last day of work.
We had the Public Speeches on the last day in front of El Palacio de Bellas Artes, it was September the 16th (commemorative date of Mexico´s Independence) so it was packed! A big crowd witnessed of how we can communicate effectively with honesty and determination after 3 days of hard work, courage and perseverance.
The Friends and Family Session was very special. It was leaded by Manuel Letona, Jennifer Somerstein and Javier Fernandez – they could explain and share how has the process of each one of them have been, share their life experiences, what changed they had after their first course and some recommendations for friends and family.
Congratulations to the New Graduates of the McGuire Programme, this is just the beginning. May strength, perseverance and honesty keep your process firm and constant.
¡Thank you Dave McGuire for this wonderful programme and to everyone who make part of it!
