People smash their stammers on the streets of Bengaluru, India!

People came to Bengaluru from across India and abroad to conquer their fear of stammering.

Courageous MGP students who faced their fears of stammering and smashed it in the face

I recommend the McGuire Programme to anyone that stammers because an organized army has a better discipline, morale and success than wayward soldiers!  - Dr. Mihir, a MGP graduate

McGuire India Programme celebrated its 2nd anniversary from June 8-12th 2016, in the vibrant city of Bengaluru, the very city that hosted our inaugural course. People attended the course from far and wide in India and also from abroad.

Here are stories from some of the folks that attended the Bengaluru course:

Nishant, a medical doctor came on the course with the single aspiration of regaining his old job in the hospital that he had to forgo due to a severe stammer. After the course, he was so much in control of his speech that he went straight back to the hospital to reclaim his old position. Well done Nishant!

Sabarish, a young high school student came on the course with an overt stammer in hopes of becoming an effective communicator in school. He left the course with tremendous strength in his speech and courage to pursue his dreams. Keep up the good work Sabarish!

Rishabh, a civil engineer and an aspiring snooker champion came on the course because his stammer was rearing its ugly head in some speaking situations – he went back home with tools that will allow him to control his speech in any speaking situation. Your sports mentality will help you be wildly successful Rishabh!

Manojkanth, a Sri Lankan native came on the course with a stammer so severe that he was unable to say his name. He left the course so strong and confident with his speech that we could not shut him up on the last day! We have high aspirations for you Manojkanth!

What was common among everyone that came on the course was not that that they all had a stutter. Rather, it was their commitment and willingness to do something about it!

The transformation that took place in a 3 day period in that conference room was quite amazing. The anxiety, fear, embarrassment, frustration and sense of isolation that was so palpable on the students faces on the day they arrived on the course, transformed to good eye contact, assertiveness, courage and big beautiful smiles by end of Saturday.

Overall, it was an amazing course with terrific instructors, disciplined new students, committed graduates and amazing coaches who are so supportive of laying a strong foundation in India. A special thanks to one and only Matthew Richardson and amazing Paul Paluch for their dedication and love for the India region. It is amazing to see the region go from strength to strength with the most number of new students and returning grads attending the Bengaluru course. The proof is in the pudding.

One recent graduate commented:

The McGuire Programme is a life changing course, a miracle!

A returning graduate said:

I was able to refresh my techniques and started coaching which has been immensely beneficial for me personally!

Here is a newspaper article in Bangalore Mirror that covered the course.

The McGuire Programme is the #1 Programme in the world that empowers PWS to take control of their speech and help them achieve a better quality of life. There is no other programme out there that brings PWS together the way the MGP does!

If you stammer or know someone that does we are conducting the Winter 2016 course from Dec 14-18th 2016 in New Delhi. This link will give you more details: http://www.mcguireprogramme.com/en/2016-enquiries-india-speech-sessions
