Go Beyond Stuttering in Latin America – Online Intensive Course for people who stutter – March 2022 Report!
Another great intensive course was held virtually in Latin America. Coaches, family and new students held a fantastic experience of how to go beyond stuttering!
New Virtual course in Latin America for 2022.
A new virtual course was held from the 10th to the 13th of March 2022. The Latin America region returned with the same essence and renewed efforts to continue helping the lives of people who stutter. It was a very emotional course, with new students from Mexico and Colombia who showed a lot of courage and hard work to achieve freedom in their speech and go beyond their stuttering.
A new chapter and path began on Thursday afternoon, with the opening and introductory session, in which we had a talk with each one to learn about their stuttering and the rules and program for the course was given. Family members accompanied the presentation given by the Regional Director and coaches from Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.
Three days of hard work, practice and comradery. Working hard with physical and psychological aspects, maintaining progress and adding more concepts for a comprehensive understanding. For this course we took it to the real world, being examples of how to challenge uncomfortable past situations into courage and bravery. The coaches and the director showed the NS how to talk to strangers.
While the results were felt from day one, by reinforcing them with a psychological understanding, they were taken to another level, generating a lot of enthusiasm. The work and willingness put into each session continued to grow the process. The day ended with calls from students, demonstrating what can be achieved with what was learned – many emotional and liberating joyful tears and deep conversations were held during this magical psychological day.
Sunday was a very dynamic and challenging day for the new students, as expected on the last day of a great course, with intense experiences and sensations, taking theory into the real world: taking fear to an exciting level. Faced with challenging situations, resistance and fear are imminent, but with what was achieved so far, the necessary impulse was achieved. The negative feelings that had invaded all our lives now took a back seat.
A very emotional closure that reinforced the commitment to continue on this road towards freedom.
The final session with family left us with many learnings and feelings of liberation, excitement, joy and pride. The now new members were able to share their experiences and interact with their relatives, who observed the changes and shared their perceptions. To the coaches for their time and dedication, their contributions are always immense and valuable to strengthen each session and to continue to improve. To the new students, for making a huge decision, facing their stuttering and committing to stand firm in the pursuit of control of their speech and heart, with great courage and perseverance. They begin a great process that will make them explode their true self, going beyond stuttering. Congratulations! Many stages of challenges and successes are to come.
