Live Online Courses for people who stutter/stammer
We are now holding live virtual courses online for people who stutter/stammer.
We are thrilled to report that our first live virtual course took place in December 2020 for people who stutter/stammer and it was a huge success.
For years we have had many inquiries asking us to hold online events and courses, but we always believed that new students needed to be immersed in our traditional residential course setting, in order to get the basics as a first step to taking advantage of our huge international and regional support networks.
When Covid-19 hit in early 2020, we cancelled (and or postponed) all our intensive in-person courses, BUT at the same time, our support network went into overdrive.
We held (and are still hosting) hundreds of hours of support each month for our members all over the world. We found zoom to be a very useful platform for so many different online activities. Such as support groups, quizzes, table topics, refresher days, coffee breaks (social conversation style), morning warmups, staff training, etc. We were convinced that we needed to try out a full course using the same platform and get back on track with helping people who stutter/stammer.
We were blown away at how we could achieve our goals and bring hope and inspiration to people who stutter/stammer around the world, who signed up. Everyone who joined understood that there is no cure for stuttering. We explained in great detail that it is the ongoing support and coaching that helps our members to keep motivated to reach their goals and speak confidently, articulately, and eloquently.
Our support network and our member’s community is one of the things that makes our program unique and different.
Every one of our members knows exactly what each person who stutters feel like. Most of our members have been to traditional speech therapy or cheap copycats with little or no results.
We have been transforming lives for over 26 years and are the world’s biggest support group for those who stutter who want to overcome and conquer it.
We hope to return to in-person courses as soon as it is safe, and our new online members can finally meet their colleagues they’ve only never met online.
We have lots of online courses scheduled and places (or seats) are limited. Each seat is available firstly to residents of those regions running the course and if there are spaces free after a deadline date, the seats will open up to non-residents within the same timezone.
